We were captivated by the canyons, although I wish we had stayed more on the North Rim and less so at the South due to the unbelievably over crowded day. You know that scene in Jurassic World where everyone is stuck waiting in the main part of the park? It was like that without Margaritas to save. That being said I enjoyed the historic Kolb Studio gallery and history of the first settlers and their photography. Great stamp for my passport in there too!
On the North we stayed at Jacob Lake Inn- highly recommend! Great cabins and wonderful restaurant. The hikes on the North Rim were fantastic, we took the Cape Royal, Roosevelt Point, Point Imperial, Transept, and Bright Angel. The Condor Talk at the NPS lodge was amazing. Enjoyed a beverage at Teddy's Roughrider Saloon here and dinner from the cafe at sunset on the grand porch.
